DALLAS - UTEP Women's golfer
Nichapas Thawinwan was named to the 2025-26 Conference USA Women's Golf All-Academic Second Team, the league office announced Thursday.
This marks the first All-Academic honor of Thawinwan's UTEP career.
The sophomore competed in eight of UTEP's nine tournaments this season, posting a 75.2 stroke average. She was UTEP's top finisher at the BGSU Women's Intercollegiate, competing as an individual and sharing runner-up honors with a career-best 54-hole total of 211 (-2). Her second-round 66 marked a career low and tied for the second-lowest single-round score in program history. Her 211 total was the lowest 54-hole score by a Miner this season.
The Thailand native carries a 3.92 GPA in Psychology and is a two-time Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll member as well as a two-time Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal recipient.
