EL PASO, Texas – The UTEP women's golf team will open play at the 2026 Conference USA Women's Golf Championship in Frisco, Texas, at Stonebriar Country Club (Par 72 | 6,386 yards) Monday through Wednesday.
Monday's opening round is set for a 7:30 a.m. MT / 8:30 a.m. CT start. Round two will be played Tuesday, followed by match play on Wednesday, including the semifinals and championship final.

Blanca Yrizar (73.9 stroke average),
Atikan Cherdchoo (74.8),
Nichapas Thawinwan (75.2),
Amelia Fridlund (76.0), and
Luciana Origel (75.1) will represent the Miners.
Taline Kyoumjian (72.0) will also travel as the sixth player for the Orange and Blue.
UTEP will compete against Delaware, FIU, Jax State, Kennesaw State, Middle Tennessee, Missouri State, NM State, Sam Houston, and WKU.

The Miners tied for seventh at last season's Conference USA Championship, finishing with a 905 (+41).
PROGRAM HISTORY
UTEP last claimed the Conference USA title in 2011.
LAST TIME OUT
UTEP placed 11th out of 21 teams at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, carding an 886 (+22) at Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club. The Miners climbed one spot in the final round behind a 291 to close out the tournament in a competitive field. Sophomore
Nichapas Thawinwan led UTEP for the second time this season, surging 17 spots on the final day to finish tied for 19th at 2-over-par (218).
